The very 1st time we went there, our 2 little dogs came home smelling like chemical. It was like they had fumigated the place and sprayed our dogs in the process. We didn’t go back for about 4 yrs after that. However during that time we tried several other Kennels, and never was overly happy with any of them. We had also noticed that Fido & Felix had made some upgrades to their Kennels. So we tried them again, and have now been using them for the past 18 months, and so far so good. The Kennels are reasonably priced, and the dogs get washed and are always clean and happy when we go to pick them up,

When we collected our dogs after 17 days they were in high spirits and had clearly been well fed, very well treated and cared for. We cannot recommend Fido and Felix highly enough. We will most definitely become regular customers.

We have used Dave and Staff a few times now for our Staffy.
We are extremely happy, no problems at all. Fur baby comes out happy and excited. Always washed down like service states.
Very highly recommend by us and a few friends.

Chippie spend 2 nights at Fido & Felix in Gumdale, he played so much that he is still sleeping ( 2 days later)
When we picked him up he looked and smelled so nice, they gave him a bath.
5 Star service.

From the staff reports, interaction with your pet and downloaded video surveillance which indicate a happy dog I find nothing to support your review.
I have good staff and we all do our best. We are not perfect.
I have no issue for accepting responsibility for anything within our control.
However I will not accept responsibility for anything outside our control.
I would welcome a call just to ascertain what is your issue.

We have been taken our dogs to Fido & Felix about twice a year for nearly 5 years now and cannot be happier with the care. We have two staffies that can be needy and they always get excited to arrive. Kimberley is wonderful and David makes sure everything runs well. Thank you for caring for our dogs so we can go on holiday knowing our dogs are in good hands.

Your dogs were actually washed out of necessity twice by us prior to them leaving. Whilst your dogs were well exercised their continual continence within their surroundings was compounded by a vision issue with one of your dogs.

This place is great! My 14 year old cat spent the night at the cattery. He has developed a form of seizures and is on medication twice a day to manage them. David put my mind at rest and took the time to understand my needs and the needs of my fury family member. David is welcoming, friendly and very kind. David and his team treated our cat like a king. We have been taking our animals to Dave for about 18 years. Our animals love it. We have a giant schnauzer, two small dogs and a cat. They get all the care they need and more. Dave is a friendly and jovial character and is extremely knowledgeable, especially with big dogs. We have found him easy to contact and he always returns our calls. Dave is always at the property day and night to take care of our animals, we know because we live nearby. I would recommend him to anyone.

Extremely suspicious that I was asked to provide the breed of my dogs that I was enquiring about having boarded, before the owner would answer whether he had any room on the dates I requested. There is nothing on the website that says medium or large breeds are not catered for at this kennel. Disappointed potential customer

I have boarded my pug at the kennels on several occasions. i have found the owner, David very polite, knowledgable and very helpful. My pug has always been well looked after. She has always been groomed before I pick her up. The kennel owner ensures that all animals vacinatons are up to date. I have recommended other pet owners to the kennels and I will continue to do so. I have met other dog owners who have used the kennels and they all speak highly of the care given to their dogs.

Our experience at Fido and Felix was a very positive one. The owner was more than helpful with our old dog. We didn’t view the kennels as the owner had a few other customers waiting. He did however show us a play area where dogs were playing at the front of the property. They are also shampooed and run in this area to be ready for collection when owners arrive.
We are always guided by our dog’s response to a kennel experience. Our dog has now had several stays at Fido and Felix and he can’t wait to get out of the car when we arrive!

Owner was rude and unhelpful when I went to inspect the property. Would not allow me to view the kennels and gave no assurance that my dog would be provided with company or outside play time. They currently have 50 dogs on the property so obviously cannot and do not provide any individual attention at all. A very poor experience which I would suggest you avoid if you have other options.
