Sadly my Magnet passed away from old age and he was well looked after and treated with love by the staff. I now have a new dog Kazper and after a few stressful visits with other vets I have now decided that we will return to Glen Iris Vet

Lived Solutions
Our family went through the process of booking our beloved family member to be put down after an e tended Illness. They cancelled this the day before, right before a public holiday, and cancelled. They were not able to provide an alternative at the same time or later and left us distraught and stranded.

We could not ask for better care than our beautiful Ridgy Cross always receives at Glen Iris Vet Hospital. Her recent adult spaying was their latest episode of top quality work and tender-hearted follow-up care (for our dog and her humans) from this superb team of vets and support staff. Thank you all for making this potentially stressful time so much more manageable. We would recommend this team to anyone who is looking for 100% reliable all-round care for their pet.

All the vets we see at Glen Iris Vets have been terrific – always comprehensive advice, detailed explanations and a reassuring manner. They have a great rapport with both owner and the furry client. Gerry the labradoodle has been going there for years and can’t wait to get inside. It’s a good sign that the animals feel comfortable about seeing the vet.

Since moving to this practice about 18 months ago, we have found the standard of care to be wonderful. The staff are all friendly and caring, thorough, professional and they have excellent communication skills. Our pets are “getting on a bit” and need special care . We never feel rushed or pushed into decisions. Very reassuring 😊

I have a dog with complex needs & we are regulars at the vet. I’ve tried 2 other vets previously & this one surpasses both on all fronts. The vets, nurses & reception staff are delightful to us & it’s such a comfort to me that my dog is being treated with expertise, compassion, & care. I feel heard & understood, treatments are very well explained to me & appointments at short notice are always accommodated. I do not recommend this veterinary clinic for cats. The work of the clinic is not aimed at a clear implementation of the schedule of services for clients. This is an assembly line clinic aimed at making money. Appointments can be pushed back without notice to the pet owner, and your cat may spend the entire day in a crate waiting for a dental procedure. I booked a teeth cleaning for my cat as advertised by the clinic. I got a huge stress when I found out that the dental procedure scheduled for 8.30 am was only done after I called the clinic at 4 pm. During the whole day the procedure was not done and the cat was forgotten. I had to wait until 19 pm when my cat, who had not yet fully recovered from anesthesia, was taken out. At the end of the story, only after paying the bill, the receptionist explained to me that he had 2 teeth removed. The doctor, to whom I left my cat at 8.30 in the morning, I never saw again. I don’t even know what they did with him and who removed his teeth? During the day, no one from the clinic called and warned about possible changes in the schedule of operations and did not give me the opportunity to make a decision. I have never seen such a terrible treatment for animals.

Again, we apologise that the communication was not as complete as it could have been, however we would never do anything to jeopardise the safety or wellbeing of the animals in our care.

The team at Glen Iris Veterinary Hospital are the best I’ve ever experienced. We have brought 3 of our dogs here and won’t take any of our dogs anywhere else. They are extremely empathetic and showed this through one of the most tough times we went through with one of our dogs. They helped us not only with their medical care but also emotionally through this difficult time and I am forever grateful for the care they gave to our girl. Thank you to everyone in the team for the work you do

Love this clinic! All staff, from the vets and nurses to the reception staff are down-to-earth, welcoming and genuinely caring towards animals. I trust them completely with my puppy’s welfare, and I never feel rushed by the vets – they are always happy to answer my questions and ease my new pawrent anxieties. 🐾

Highly recommend Glen Iris Veterinary Hospital. Our lab has had her fair share of illnesses and numerous surgeries (way too many to count!) and the team there have looked after our baby girl so well. We can?t thank Dr Jason, Dr Ally, Dr Jess and Dr Meaghan enough for taking such good care of her. Also can?t forget Elisha, Kirrily, Shannon, Elizabeth and Casey.
Helpful ReviewEvery time Bailey goes into the vet for anything I know she?s is good hands. Bailey still LOVES going to the vet and seeing all the doctors, nurses and receptionists and that says a lot for a dog that has been very sick for a long time.
