Reviewed on GoogleFirst session today with our two Dachshunds – Frank & Charlie. Very welcoming environment. Frank & Charlie have a history of not getting along with other furry friends – which can be quite common in their breed. Looking forward to coming again and improving on their social skills! Thanks guys.

Reviewed on GoogleLarge green area, nice atmosphere. Lots of dogs there but need a pass to join.
I got a not very happy experienced with them.
First session, noone could tell me where and when the class was. They told me to “ask the lady over there” after I joined.
Next thing was that lady stared at me when giving me a “pre-class lesson” that I had a staffy which was very strong, i had to be strong to control him, not to let him pull me (he pulled when i tried to talk to her to find out when and where my dog class would be. My dog was still very close to me as I held the leash short, and other dog went close to us, that was why my dog pulled me tried to greet, other dog also pulled to see my dog. They tried to say hi). She said to keep talking to her but my eyes always had to be on my dog. Well, i have no problem with her telling me that and if she didnt consider I am rude for not looking at her when talking to her, I am more than happy to do so if that was what I should do. But she stared at me and she sounded so seriously and upset as if my dog had bitten other dog or I have not obey the rules or something like that even thothough noone ever told me I had to always keep my dog very close to me, not letting him to approach others. Well, not even his fault, when other dog come so close, its normal for him to pull as he didnt get any professional training before and that was why we were there… Other people looked at me as if I was a horrible dog owner, that was why she was so serious on me lol. The truth was It happened first time since I came there.
The reason I and my dog were there because I am more than happy to be told what to do. However, I did not expect it that way. I was only treated that way by my mom when I was small making troubles. Yes I treat my dog that way sometimes when he doesnt listen.
The worst thing was the admin could not only tell me where and when the class was but I found I had to wait there for 2 hours until our class started.
Decided to wait, we were walking around for a while, then they called for beginners….Thinking must be that one as it said beginners…. but after that ended, everyone got a file of papers but she didnt give me any. She passed in front of me giving it to the 2 on my left and right …
Theb right after it finished, they called for beginners again. At that time I thought I may went for wrong class that was why I was not given the papers, but how she knew as she didnt even ask me. She must have a very good memmory at her age. I was impressed. Lastly, After 2nd class, she gave me the papers anyway.
The story got much worse. After about 2 to 3 weeks I decided to hire a private trainer for my dog as I didnt feel happy about the experience I got there on the first day. I called them saying I was not so happy because of what happened and asked if I could cancel the membership? There was 2 ladies alternately talked as if there was a fight with me. They insisted that nothing wrong with them telling me that even though I repeated that I was not upset about what I was told but about the way I was starred at and mostly like yelling at me, making other around looking at me like stupid. But they then decided that I needed to be trained not my dog, that my dog has problem i need 1 on 1 train, that I should come down one more time n get the 1 on 1 training even I said 2 times that I already booked a private trainer….that if I wanted to I can try to email them they will discuss that at the meeting but most of the time no refund…
In conclusion, not very organized, not all of them but I have met a not very polite volunteer staff, may be she was in a bad mood. Defending when I said I was not happy about what I experienced, that was understandable but no need 2 people to take turns to talk to 1 customer and maybe they should try to find out before making conclusion. I wont bother thinking about cancelling the membership or asking for refund as I dont even want to deal with them anymore. From beginning to the end, it was bad at fist and even got worse lastly.

Reviewed on GoogleWent here after a bad experience at Bayside Companion Dog obedience school. The two are like chalk and cheese. Moorabbin is sooo much better. At Bayside there was a huge group and the guy who took it, who is apparently the founder, went through an extraordinary amount of training in the first session with no introductory talk at all. Noone knew what was going on. At Moorabbin it was a gentle intro with a smaller group and with a comprehensive talk about the school and progression within it. Thanks Moorabbin.
