There is no greater test for groomers and trainers alike than a wooly double coated part husky.
But the staff at this Petsmart rise to the challenge.
Peggy was the best trainer he has had at any of many facilities he has taken classes at.
And Cindy always returns his coat of chaos to perfection claiming he was a perfect angel. Even though I know he has never sat still a waking moment in his entire life 🤣🤣🤣 So either shes got the touch, or she is immune to his husky theatrics 🤣

Just brought my dog in for a 10am grooming appointment. On the online check in form I confirmed he gets anxious in the kennel around other dogs. No one called to let me know he needs to be booked for a different kind of appointment (although I’ve never had to do that at other Petsmart locations). I showed up to check him in, went over this information again and the groomer told me she has 4 other dogs ahead of him. How is this even possible at 10am in the morning? It’s absurd that they are not just double booking animals, but triple booking them. They essentially told me I can come back tonight at 7pm despite already driving to the shop with my dog if I want to have him groomed without being crated. I told them I don’t mind if he’s crated, he will probably just bark a lot and they said they won’t take him if that’s the case so I have no choice but to come back later if I want to get my dog groomed or find somewhere else to take him. I’ve been to Petsmart locations all over the country and have never seen them overbooked or turn me away. Additionally, what’s the point of the check-in questionnaire if they don’t even look at it?

I like Petsmart. Their prices aren’t always competitive, but for the most part they’re fairly clean and carry a huge variety of products.
I do wish they would stop selling live animals. I don’t think it’s appropriate, but that’s just me.

We took classes there with Peggy when my dog was a Puppy. Peggy is an excellent trainer! My dog has been to lots of classes with different trainers and Peggy was the one to teach me actual tools to address my dog excessively barking and pulling during class out of excitement and wanting to greet the other dogs and people when he was a Puppy.

She doesn’t suggesting you drug them or stuff them with gimmicky calming treats like some other trainers (which honestly I was beginning to question if my dog needed meds at one point due to his insane husky energy levels 🤣). Instead, she give you specific strategies to manage their enthusiasm and energy and get to the other side of that phase, which he did eventually grow out of with time, patience and a lot of training!
I have gotten so many compliments on my dogs behavior since her classes. I only wish Petsmart offered more classes and more advanced ones, since we already took all the ones they currently offer we had to move on to other facilities/trainers.

I bought an $80 bag of dog food, and my mutt didn’t like it. They returned it even though I cut open bag, and used some of the contents. It was a smooth process, and the employees were well trained in the return procedure.
