A Huge 5 Stars for A1K9 Grooming Salon !!!!!

I would very highly recommend Wendy & Bryan’s A1K9 Grooming Salon to any TRUE doggy lovers out there looking for the absolute perfect Groomers!!

When you love your fur baby as much as I do, finding the perfect dog groomer for my new little puppy, that you feel 100% comfortable with can take a lot of time….

But after taking my 12 week old fur baby, Buddy, to meet with Wendy for the first time, his friendliness towards her and tail wagging made me feel comfortable enough in trusting that he would be totally looked after while having his haircut, bath and blow dry, as his little personality meant he didn’t just instantly take to anyone, so when he showed he liked Wendy, I knew we had found the perfect groomer for us and I could tell Wendy had an instant love for our little Buddy…

My Buddy is a very protective little Shih Tzu, not a lot of room in his heart for other females, other than myself, my daughter in law and Wendy… No other female can get close to him without him growling.. He also loves seeing his friend, Bryan too..

I have now been taking my little fur baby Buddy, to Wendy & Bryan’s A1K9 Grooming Salon, every six weeks for the past 6 years and have been so very happy with their expertise in grooming and such friendly nature and Buddy always comes home prancing around as if to say, ” Look at me and how beautiful I look !!!! “

So, I just want to finish off with…..
A Huge “Thank You” to you, Wendy & Bryan for taking such great care with my little Buddy and knowing he will always look beautiful and come home smelling lovely & clean every 6 weeks, I truly do appreciate the both of you so very much !!!

First & last time at this groomers!
Firstly they had our big boy, a shepadoodle, on a small pressured lift for over an hour, after I told her he had terrible arthritis in his back legs. I asked for a light trim but was told she had to cut him shorter. When I arrived to collect him he was shaking on the lift & was unrecognisable. I paid the agreed $150 & took him home. He was shaking from head to toe and dripping blood. Once I had settled & comforted him for over an hour, I found a cut on his belly that was bleeding. His fur has big bald patches, and he looks like he’s been butchered. He was also wet through!

Our groomer is currently on maternity leave – we have him groomed very regularly without having to have him butchered like this. We have maintained his beautiful coat for the past 11 years and brush him daily.

We are both devastated that we trusted you to look after our precious boy. If you are considering taking your dog here please reconsider as she hasn’t got a clue what the hell she’s doing.

Dear Wendy

I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding the grooming service my Pomeranian, Ralph, received on Friday. I was shocked to find that my Pomeranian had been completely shaved down.

As you may know, Pomeranians have a double coat that should never be shaved, as it can lead to permanent coat damage, skin irritation, sunburn, and even long-term alopecia. This has caused both emotional distress for me and discomfort for my dog. It is not even being down properly, the hair are all different length now.

I believe this situation reflects a serious lack of professional judgment and care, as any trained groomer should be aware of the risks associated with shaving double-coated breeds.

I kindly request an explanation of how this decision was made, as well as what steps your salon intends to take to address this issue.

I hope we can resolve this matter amicably, but I do expect accountability for this mistake.

Wanted to try someone local however not happy with the groom or the service. Was advised that our dog pulled too much and wasn’t welcomed back. This was communicated very abruptly and an unfriendly manner. The pulling issue is the first of any groomers have commented about our dog. The groom itself is very average. Uneven and signs of razor burn.

This is the 1st google review i have done before but after reading the last review i felt compelled. I have been taking my 2 Labradoodles here to see Wendy for the last 6 years & the grooming job done on them both has always been fantastic, more importantly my fur babies are always very happy!
