I have never encountered such rude customer service in my 15 years of living in Melbourne!!!
Helpful ReviewI cannot give this salon zero starts but I would if I could. The receptionist asked for my details and dogs name and when I last visited. I asked the receptionist to look it up on her system however she proceeded to tell me they do not keep any details so was perplexed.
She then proceeded to state she could not quote me on my dogs trim needs but saying they only offer $120-$180 services even though my dog only needed her feet, nails and ears trimmed.
I ended up going to my local vet that trimmed her nails for $17.
This groomers need to stop advertising as a dog groomers when they do no clearly listen to the needs of customers and only service full grooms at greatly inflated prices. I will never visit this groomers again.

Oh my goodness! What terrible service. I’m surprised this business is still up and running. The rude lady running the counter service told my mother she had terrible behaviour, after being concerned that the business didn’t live up to its standards of having an appropriate waiting list, and managing their customers effectively and efficiently. The business had placed us on a waiting list for months, and after going back a couple months later to ask about the status of the booking, she told us there was availability in December, meaning they were’t even prioritising their customers on their waiting list, and not to mention, losing all their customer details. I will never forget what they called my mother. Do not provide this business service! Extremely and terribly rude.

Very unprofessional. We brought our dog for grooming. It was all confirmed, they even called the previous day to confirmed the booking. When we were there, they decided to cancel it. Don’t bother going there. They are unreliable, rude and unprofessional!

I second Jill’s review. The groomers are very standoffish and use the excuse of the welfare cut to take the easiest route and shave down to the skin when it was totally unnecessary on my dog & despite specifically asking for them to leave some length. What is most disappointing is them charging full price for this inferior service. If they are going to shave the cost should be half a regular cut. Very tired of these Covid excuses. Go to Murphy’s Paw instead!

Had a fabulous experience at Happy Chappy Pooch for my miniature schnauzer’s first ever cut. Paul was terrific with Otto and the receptionist was very efficient, even gave Otto a little Christmas treat when we left. He looks fantastic and was so happy in the salon, very relaxed. Not many know how to trim a schnauzer but Paul knows what he’s doing. Highly recommend.

Took my dog for a welfare groom. He is a schnauzer, collected him and was told he was well behaved except doesn’t like having his paws touched. Called later as I was displeased that he had no body hair left at all, I was advised that was because it was a welfare groom and that a proper groom could be done next time. I wouldn’t have taken him if this had been communicated in advance. It will take months to grow back. Very disappointed as had heard good things from other schnauzer owners

Tonia and Paul are all about the dogs. They are so kind, gentle and loving that I couldn’t ever imagine taking my puppy anywhere else. Such wonderful and high touch service and reasonably priced. If you are seeking somewhere to take your dog where you know they will be loved and looked after, look no further.

It was our first experience taking our pooch, Alfie to Paulie and Tonia. We are SO impressed!! Professional, 10/10 service, friendly and the full groom was perfect and exactly how we wanted! Alfie was so happy when we picked him up and they even gave him a nice treat to have when he got home. I can’t recommend these guys anymore!!!

Last hair cut ended with a clip to my dog’s private parts. I noticed straight after the haircut that my dog was spotting. Upon closer look, she had been clipped accidentally right on her private part. I understand mistakes can happen, if she had a minor clip to her body I wouldn’t be upset. But she has been spotting for two weeks now with the wound slowly healing. I felt I had to share this experience as your pet is like your child. And who wants their private parts clipped due to negligence?? Really disappointing and I will not be going back again.

So rude receptionist, first thing she said was that if the dog is old and uncooperative, then the groomer will not complete the haircut.
Extremely rude and ruthless in talking to me and telling me, “given that my dog is 14 years old…” almost as if saying that my dog is about to die.
STAY AWAY PEOPLE.. not worth it

Took our 4 month old Maltese in for a trim today – picked him up 2/3 shorn not trimmed and the balance of his hair untouched. Rudeness from the lady who handed him over to boot! Definitely do not recommend – if I could leave zero stars, I would!

Save yourself some money and the headache and go else where!
We live 10 minutes away and thought we’d try out this local business and unfortunately it was a massive disappointment. We were interrogated with where our small dog was previously groomed and the rude lady made it sound like it was almost too hard for her to groom him because he looked ‘ridiculous’?! We were overcharged for the horrible service and lack of customer service. $85 wasted!

Lady was extremely rude and arrogant. Kept interrogating me about my dog. I wanted to walk out but she quickly told the man at the back to take him away at the back.
She also told me she would call me 15 minutes before he is ready. I then received two follow up calls within 5 minutes to check my location !
Worst customer experience of my life and ungrateful owners !

Such a beautiful place to take your pooches for grooming. Paul genuinely adores his furry clients and can always be trusted to make sure that your pet looks their best. In particular I like that there are no cages and that your pet’s welfare is a priority – particularly pets like mine that are a prone to a bit of yappy anxiety.
