It is a blessing that I found this clinic today after our dogue de bordueax jax had a serious heat stroke episode literally 10mins before the doors closed for the day we just made it, they opened there door to us straight away and went to work with passion and love dr Karl and receptionist were so great I am lost for words. The care, attention, effort they both displayed with me and my dog jax helping him get better is professionalism at its best. Truly if it weren’t for you both we could have lost our dog today, thank you for all that you did and showing love and care to jax and keeping my wife and I positive and assuring us that he is in the best hands, you guys are amazing and we can’t thank you both enough,we will make port Melbourne clinic our veterinary clinic for our 2 boys jax and pier. P.s wish we found you guys years ago.

Was left waiting at the locked door for 14 minutes while the young staff stood there talking about their weekend. Some staff are lovely but I can not say respect or care was given by others. If it was a once off, I would think they are busy and couldn’t service but it’s happened many times now. I’m usually just after a bag of pet food to go in between the usual routine check ups for my fur babies.

I took my cat here for his annual checkup this year. Very friendly receptionist and a delightful experience overall. My shy timid cat loved the vet, she was such a lovely person. Pricing was good too…$145 for the check up, worming tablet administered, vaccination and claws clipped!

Open on a Sunday!! Wonderful Service. First time using this vet after I was unable to attend my usual vet. The staff were lovely to my cat who was having issues that needed an immediate remedy.

I took my Frenchie puppy her from 13 weeks of age. Every time I took him there I had a new vet who had not read his previous notes. I repeatedly reported that I noticed him struggling to breathe and sleep and although it comes with the breed, it seems really bad. The last time I took him I was told he is ‘normal’ and it to consider surgery before 1yo. Last week my dog stopped breathing in his sleep, I took him to another vet and he was operated on within 12 hours. The vet said that the surgery would have been more successful if I got to them earlier in his life and that I was lucky that I acted when I did. I will say that the reception staff a nurses are lovely, I just found that there was no continuity with my dogs care and the advice was wrong. Thank god I acted when I did.

They were very helpful, arranged an appointment, vet Carl was great, did the examination, and sent the details to my mon to sat morning vet. very impressed, definitely recommend. My new after hours vet when Northcote is closed

My puppy actually suffered more and longer because of them. They just want money. Obviously changed the vet clinic and received the treatment and surgery my puppy needed a long time ago. Stay away if you love your pets.

Shocking, don’t go there. I came in with my puppy Mozart a few months ago for the first time. He couldn’t walk properly and he seemed like he was in pain. I saw a vet by the name Julie Paris and she said that it’s just the way he walks and that he isn’t in pain but should rest. She didn’t even want to X-Ray him. I came in for the second time a few months after that and received a different vet-Karl Ong. I called and said it was an emergency. My puppy was crying from pain and would not settle down. He could not walk or move at all. Again didn’t even do an X-Ray and just sent me to some emergency clinic in Kensington. He gave Mozart some shot for the pain but I actually found out later that it wasn’t even strong. Straight after I left I called Port Phillip Animal Hospital and informed them about the situation and they told me to come straight away and they have all the facilities for Mozart. Still unsure why this clinic was unable to even do an X-Ray. I have never came across such neglect in my life. Just took my money and left Mozart in so much pain. I was told my the vets at Port Phillip Animal Hospital that my dog needs a surgery on both of his front elbows and there was also some breakage in there that could have been minimised if diagnosed sooner. That operation was actually pretty serious. I am so disgusted by the treatment Mozart received and how much pain he was left in. Shocking. I emailed the clinic informing them and they don’t even care. I asked for a refund for the visits but they are not interested in that even though they have seen documents and proof of what was wrong with Mozart in the first place. They don’t take any responsibility and they said and I quote “ We are very pleased that Mozart has received the treatment he needed.”
Helpful ReviewNow they are ignoring my emails, only tried calling me but I have been advised legally not to answer and have everything written. Take your pets to Port Phillip Animal Hospital. They are amazing there and it’s still in the area if you are a local.

Really miss the rapport we had with staff that new us and in particular our dog(s) Staff turnover now impacting our relationship with practice. More recently, waiting time of four days for a monthly injection disappointing. Considering looking elsewhere

My dog got injured and I was not able to get an appointment at regular vet so I called Port Melbourne vet. The dog was obviously in pain so when I wanted him to see vet asap. I was very impressed. They did not have an appointment available buy they tried to squeeze me in between appointment within 5 minutes as they understood the urgency.. Then I went there they took the dog and treated him. Dog was ok in couple of days.
I really appreciate the way they responded to my emergency and I will recommend Port Melbourne vet for anyone

Unfortunately when our pup had his ear clipped and needed stitches our vet was unable to help however although busy Port Melbourne Vet was able to squeeze us in and assist. The staff there are empathetic and caring – cannot recommend enough

Had to drop my fur babies off at the vet as they’re the ‘middle man’ when my fur babies are staying away for a few days. The staff are so friendly and courteous to me and are great with my girls, especially considering they aren’t actually seeing the vet, but either waiting for the pet shuttle service to pick them up or drop them off. And sometimes they have to wait a few hours for me to come and pick them up, and the staff have never had an issue with them being in their care for a while longer than was intended. If I do need a vet for the girls, I’ll definitely be going there. You can see the love and great treatment that they give to their patients, the animals.

Julia communicates very well and let you know what needs to be done to improve your pets’ quality of life. Their primary concern is animal health and welfare. Definitely recommend to everyone.

We took our new cavoodle Charlie here yesterday and were absolutely impressed with the service and care we received. From the moment we walked through the door, we were made to feel welcome and all procedures and protocols explained. A full examination of Charlie was undertaken and an appropriate course of action for his next Vaccs and worming tablets etc. given. We are so pleased to have chosen PMVC as our vets, as although we live in Southbank they are relatively close and have really great opening hours for working families.

Have had several visits with my partner for our pup and and tired of how poor the customer service and care is here. If it were not an emergency I would not have come back, and I would recommend the same to others. Overall the service and care is quite poor. The majority of the staff have been rude, and have not listened is our dealings with them. Have had much better care and service nearby elsewhere and will continue to go there, unfortunately this was an emergency, but the service was poor again and felt others should know there are better practices around.
