Although dogs in general don’t like going to the vet the staff here are always quality and I do appreciate the level of care they have given both Juggles and our recent rescue Cookie! I go every 6 months for a check up for 7 years and they are always thoughtful on their approach. Highly recommended

Took my bird here who had a broken leg, I paid $160 for them to tell me what I already knew, told me they couldn’t help and sent me to another vet. Complete waste of money and time absolutely useless! Luck for me exotic birds helped me! If you love your pet you wouldn’t take it here!

Honestly so impressed with the care my Dog Jax received at Struggletown vets! He had surgery with Dr Ellis and she was so informative and took the time to run through every detail with me which really helped put my mind at ease! All the other staff I dealt with who’s names I didn’t catch, were also so helpful and friendly making when both dropping off and picking up Jax! Would definitely recommend!

Really disappointed with the service!

Undergo further surgeries without prior approval.
Was expected to return the next day to collect our belongings.
Just massively ripped off and over priced. Even worse that they knew they were ripping me off.
Just really disappointed, would not recommended to anyone.
If it was possible to give a zero I would!!

We adopted a cat from the RSPCA and she needed to get stitches out from previous hernia surgery. I called Struggletown Vet and they were very professional and kind on the phone. They removed the stitches the next day for free. Because of the great customer service and kind attentive treatment to our cat, we signed up to be customers that day. Highly recommend!

Sadly the service at Struggleton has been deteriorating.
I had previously received some great care nursing my previous dog through a heart murmur, however the care with my latest dog has been deteriorating over some time to the point where we were turned away for emergency surgery (from our regular vet no less) as they are full until February. I would have expected that a non essential surgery might have been delayed to fit in an emergency surgery – which seems to be a common practice.
We will definitely be moving to another vet after this latest experience – we have heard North Randwick Veterinary Clinic is much better.

Thank you Struggletown for taking such good care of my rabbit Blossom! Blossom was spayed and vaccinated at Struggletown and the whole process was not only stress free but also the most competitive price in the area. The staff at Strugglestreet were very helpful and knowledgeable which gave me confidence in their ability to give my bunny the best care. They were always available to answer my questions and were empathetic. I really felt that they cared for my bunny and this allayed my fears. My dog got bitten on the face by another dog so I took him here. They recommended their gold premium care which was expensive. I explain I had no pet insurance and my financial situation and the vet suggested I try just antibiotics first, and iif the wound doesn’t heal or it gets worse then bring him back for the operation. It’s been a week and the wound has healed great! Saved me 2/3 of the cost! Thanks!!!

We recently had to euthanize our beautiful dog, Ruby. Our vet, Antony Kery, of Struggletown, was amazing both in treating Ruby’s heart failure (due to old age) over the past year and then during the difficult time when her heart finally gave out. Excellent vet services provided here. I have been taking my dogs to Struggletown for many years and have been happy with the care given to my dogs in particular to my 14 year old who thanks to their care is still with us in spite of her many health issues. I have tried and tested other vets but always keep on coming back to Struggletown for their dedication and very professional attitude and also because of the long opening hours which is so convenient specially on an emergency. Thank you to all staff and in particular to Simon and Lucy who are such caring vets.

Was bringing my cats and dogs there for quite some time and was quite happy with their service. Then i had a bad experience more than a year ago as my dog had eaten more than, one bar of dark chocolate with hazelnuts. I rang up as i was unsure what too and i was in a state of panic. They asked me how much and few other questions.
Helpful ReviewI was told it was a substantial amount and should treat my dog asap. They informed me they were “too busy” and recommended two vets that were quite out of the area, and it was around 630pm.
I went to the vet my partner takes his cat and they took my dog straight away as they said it such a big amount of chocolate consumed. They were near closing time but were happy to stay back to fix and treat my dog. Have never returned to struggletown since as I was let down by this event, and have since took my business elsewhere.

Thank you for your feedback and I am truly sorry that you feel this way.
Being a general practice and open until 10 pm, unfortunately we can be inundated in the evenings with both routine consultations and unexpected “walk in” emergencies.
When we feel that we are too busy to give the best possible care for specific emergencies, we try to ensure that they are seen at dedicated veterinary emergency hospitals that can provide 24 hour ongoing care if necessary, as per the recommendation of The Veterinary Practitioners Board.
I appreciate that this must have been very stressful for you and we would always like to improve our service. As this was over a year ago, I cannot look into it further without more details. If you would like, you can call me on 9398 8000 or I can be reached via simon@struggletownvet.com.au
