Not happy . My dog had beautiful hair ,yesterday I took her for hair cut ,they shaved her “SHAVED” she look like chicken without feathers.and put price up by %25 more . I paid $100 to shave my dog 😡

I recently rescued my dog from an unhappy home and decided to bring her to barking barber for grooming.
Helpful ReviewI was rudely approached by the lady who accused me of animal cruelty due to the condition of her matted fur.
I explained to her that she’s a rescued dog and I was given her like this.
She continues to accuse me of animal cruelty and was very arrogant and did not care to listen to what I had to say…
That was the first and last time I won’t take my girl to this groomer.

Taken our staffy here on 3 occasions for nail trimming. First 2 times they barely even trimmed her nails. She does hate getting them cut so I try not to judge too harshly, but the people here clearly are not well trained in animal handling. The 3rd time we took her I asked if I could go in with her to help keep her calm. The woman said she could cut them in the waiting area with us. She only ended up cutting 4-5 of her 20 overgrown nails, saying that the rest we fine, when they were clearly in need of trimming. She cut one of her nails way to short causing her pain and a fair amount of bleeding. Then proceeded to charge us full price even though she only cut a few nails. They do everything out of view of owners which to me is concerning. They also charge more than other groomers in the area. Go elsewhere. There are far more competent and professional groomers around who charge less.

I would actually give zero. After our dog had a simple groom, she was unable to walk properly or get into the car. She needed operation after operation to try to fix what barking beauties had caused. She couldn’t bounce back and needed to be put to sleep. We tried desperately to save her but she had been through too much. We believe she fell from the table when having her nails cut. She was a big dog so she would need to be secured or be on a lower level when having her nails cut. Barking beauties denied knowledge of anything happening. She went in fine and came out injured. Absolutely horrible place and horrible people. You killed our baby through having poor training for your staff and never even offered an apology.

I’ve always been here to get my maltese’s nails trimmed and sometimes they would clip too much and he would bleed. Then one time I took him there for a hair cut and they cut his leg. He was bleeding a fair bit the first couple of days and took a couple of weeks to heal. The thing is the girl only told me AFTER I paid. She said they’d be happy to pay for his vet bill if I see the need to take him in. It was just a bad first experience. I’ll stick to cutting his hair myself until I find another groomer.
