DO NOT GO TO THIS VET!!! Came in before closing with my animal and got treated HORRIBLY! Jeremy did not even take the time to pet our animal to reassure them or anything and just pinched him, took a temperature, did not tell us the results, and tried to pressure us into putting them down, and roughly injected a dose of anesthetic without care at all! Did not provide a comfortable environment or being reasonable with our distress, and was overheard saying horrible things while walking up the hall about “bringing us to our senses”, and only after thirty minutes gave us an alternative option other than being put down! The only half decent part of the experience was the smile of the woman at the front desk. Left our family in utter horror at the treatment and disgusting condition our beloved family member was left!!!! Never in my life will I bring any pet here ever again!

Dealing with a pet who is old and very unwell can be very distressing. I am sorry that I was blunt with you but as a vet I feel my role is to act as an advocate for the patient who in this case has no voice of their own. We stayed late at work out of compassion for your dog despite him being a new patient to us and the condition he was in was very disturbing. I advocated humane euthanasia as I felt meaningful recovery was unlikely. When you declined this I elected to provide pain relief (not anesthetic) via a gentle subcutaneous injection which your pet barely noticed due to his weak condition. I agree your pet was in a disgusting condition but it had nothing to do with us. We understand you are upset but we always try to act in the best interest of the patient.

Dr Jeremy and his team are absolutely wonderful. Our 2yr Border Collie X, Esky was bitten by a snake and they reacted quickly, calmly and very carefully. They informed us at every step, and showed professionalism with utmost respect and empathy. Esky(and his distraught parents) are recovering well. We are so lucky to have found such a wonderful vet. Dr Jeremy literally saved Esky life and we are so forever greatful.

Its a pleasure I hope he is careful in future remember he is sensitised to antivenom so if he needs it again we need to take additional precautions like adrenalin to prevent alergic reactions.

I work in the animal industry as a dog trainer and have seen a number of vets in the area. The Vets Sale absolutely blows the big chain vets in gippsland out of the water. There is a completely different feel to this place.
Helpful ReviewFor the first time since living out this way, I don’t feel like I’m being up-selled at the mechanic shop to get my wipers and air filter changed when I take my pets in. They simply do what is necessary and charge at reasonable rates. Not to mention, Jeremy is very capable of dealing with difficult issues and complex surgical procedures.

Helpful ReviewCalled the vet closest to my home as My dog had an oesophageal obstruction with difficulty breathing, called this vet after hours only to be told he couldn’t help as he was unable to get a nurse to help with anaesthetic!
Not good enough for an after hours emergency not sure why advertising after hour’s Emergency when unable to help .. wasting time

We have stopped advertising after hours emergency as family and other comitments are making it increasingly difficult. We help when we can if anyone knows a vet who can work with us please get them to send a resume.

Puscifer was an anxious mess after we had family come to stay. We had an appointment within two hours of me calling and Jeremy was fantastic with her, you won’t find a better vet for cats and dogs. They genuinely care!

Would not recommend at all, staff were rude and not helpfull and would not assist my clearly unwell partner lift our dog onto the table to be assessed. If you have other options I would definitely recommend paying the extra money to go somewhere else.

We always try to help patients and their owners when they are disabled or unwell so it is very unfortunate your partner had this experience. I suggest you call the vet where this actually happened and make sure management is made aware so changes can be made.

I moved up here 6 years ago I liked that thay a pick up. And thay did my boy buddy got run over when hubby and I wAs in nsw friend was looking after them thay picked him up and called me every day to tell me how’s his going. Thay saved him and his leg xxx

I have only lived in Sale for just over a week having relocated from Melbourne. My 14 year old golden retriever Simba has been unsteady with his gait since yesterday afternoon. I contacted The Vets in Sale and spoke to Mark this morning. He made an appointment for me and we saw Dr Jeremy late this afternoon. I am very happy with the care, attention and service provided at The Vets in Sale. It is reassuring to know that despite being new to the area at least I have come across a Vet that will be able to look after my pets needs into the future. Thanks Dr Jeremy and Team.

Was so grateful to Ian & his staff, my partner & i moved from Tassie to manage Bruthen Caravan Park, having been evacuated, our old dog was in need of more heart medication, they were brilliant with their help in getting the meds for him. I highly recommend The Vets in Sale
