We organised our company Christmas function at The Railway and it was a great success. Ronan and the team were so helpful in getting it all setup, from the initial point of contact until the end of the night. The food was delicious and everyone had a great time. A great place for a function or a get together with terrific staff, food and drinks! Highly recommend The Railway Hotel South Melbourne.

The best steaks in Melbourne. Enjoyed a scotch fillet with mushroom sauce for lunch today, cooked to perfection. You get what you pay for, absolute quality. I would give 5 stars however the background music combined with the patron noise made it a bit challenging to hear our conversation. It won’t stop me returning it’s probably my fault for choosing it for a business discussion.

Went for their steak night. VERY generous serving size. Great quality steak. Good fries. Even the accompanying side salad was super fresh and zesty. Recommend the pepper sauce over the mushroom & order a level down in how you like your steak (we ordered medium and it came well done)

Small portion of curry/rice but was nice, over battered fish, terrible tough lamb shanks, good kids meal and service for drinks at bar only. Overpriced for quality of food and table service was slow.
