Southern Cross Vets never fail to disappoint. With extremly friendly and kind staff, needless to say how incredible their concierge service is by offering to pick and return our girl after she’s been assessed / treated. Thank you so much for all that you do. Esti appreciates it as much as we do.

I had a really uncomfortable experience. I made a comment about how expensive veterinary services are in general and the woman seemed to take it personally by subtly suggesting I go to another vet, so I clarified it wasn’t about her. I understand this could have been a miscommunication, that’s fine.
What I found weird was that she went out the back to analyse a swab under the microscope and I could hear her trash talking me. I don’t mind that she did, more so that she couldn’t hold off for two minutes for me to leave.
I wasn’t trying to insult her and tbh, I’m a bit shocked something like mentioning the price was so offensive to her. You did 4 years at uni, charge what you want.
Service was average. She just told me what I told her was wrong with my dog. $60 to look at the bacteria felt a bit much, consultation was average price.

Can’t recommend Southern Cross Vet enough. Our frenchie recently had four operations in one, including BOAS surgery. Dr Sam and the team were amazing through the whole process. They talked us through the entire procedure, giving us updates before, during and after the operation, putting us at ease. Afterwards, Dr Sam was available at all hours to answer any questions or worries we had and followed up with us regularly for the weeks post op, including two face to face check ups. The whole team at Southern Cross are so friendly and always go the extra mile to help in any way they can. Mark is also amazing, collecting our pup for his appointments and dropping him back again. We can’t thank them all enough!

Staff are friendly however the mark up on their meds is INSANE and they don’t offer scripts so you have to buy from them. No price disclosure in advance or apology afterwards. Definitely go to any other vet if you want fair pricing!

My dog and I had a brilliant time at this vet! My cavoodle needed his teeth cleaned and the team were so wonderful – they sent updates with photos all throughout the day and sent him home with a brand new toy and lead. Dr Sam even contacted me after hours to check on my dog and ensure me that the team was there if I had any concerns. Their teeth-cleaning prices were also much more competitive and affordable than any other provider I’ve contacted. Can’t recommend them enough—they care so much for the animals they treat.

I was recommended this Vet as I have a diabetic cat & this business has an in house pathology as well as other specialist equipment, I was extremely happy with the Vet I’ve seen on both visits, especially as my pet has more complex needs because of her condition & the Vet was able to give me additional information to help prevent other diabetes related heath issues, I would recommend Southern Cross if you have a diabetic Pet.

Southern Cross have been my vets for years, my cat was one of their first patients! They are a lovely practice and Dr Sam the owner has built a business based in pet care that beats any other we have used. I now have a disability and their free concierge service with the excellent Mark is wonderful! Every 4 weeks he picks up my (now very old) cat for her arthritis injection and then drops her back again, it’s just one amazing example of the extra mile this clinic and it’s lovely staff will go.

I took my mini dachshund Hank to St Peters on a Saturday morning because he was quite unwell. We didn’t have an appointment but Grace the receptionist was so lovely and squeezed us in. The vet who saw us was really thorough and reassuring. A beautiful vet and a really lovely practice. Cannot recommend highly enough.

A fantastic vet with a great team that really cares for your pets and treats them like family. They really take the time to listen, when you have concerns and they make you reassured with all their understanding and knowledge. I had the BOAS surgery done for my frenchie. The decision to have this done wasn’t easy. After many months of research, I choose Southern cross vet because of their minimal invasive technique and a lot less time under anaesthetic. I was also looking for a vet that could do an aesthetically pleasing result for the nares widening. I couldn’t be happier with the result. Not only does my Frenchie look great, he also has no obstructed breathing noises like before. On top of all this which I don’t think anyone else does, they offer free airway assessments. Southern Cross vet also do gap only payments which made payment so much easier. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that is wanting BOAS surgery done, or seeing them even if you are just after some information.

Dr Sam is an outstanding vet. He is extremely knowledgeable, and I always learn something when I discuss any health issues for my Weimaraner puppy, whereas previous vets left me often confused about the best way forward.
I like the Zoom consultation option and I was amazed when he offered to send a nurse to my home to give my dog an injection and hand me an ointment; it just took 5 min, and the nurse was very friendly, professionally and made my dog feel at ease.
We were also extremely happy about the advanced keyhole surgery option to spay our girl as it was so much less invasive (1cm instead of 4-6cm cut).
Dr. Paul & Dr. Victoria and most of the other staff are fantastic too.
They definitely went multiple times the extra mile for my dog and for me as a dog owner.

Dr. Sam is extremely nice and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose my cat over a video call, while my cat’s vet wasn’t able to figure out whats going on with him despite all the diagnosis they did. I cannot thank Dr. Sam enough for all the support he provided. I def recommend him.
