Duty of care, non existent.
Called to make an appointment as my dog’s leg had been ripped open and required stitches.
As I have never visited the surgery before I was told best they could do was to see me in a weeks time. Told me to call an emergency vet clinic. Poor form!
Instead called Warrandyte Vet who was more than accommodating and slotted me right in.
Would not recommend.

Finding a good vet is like finding a good Doctor – many years ago a friend recommended her vet to me after I made a comment that “ I wasn’t overly impressed by my current vet” she advised me to give the team at North Warrandyte Vets a go!!
Helpful ReviewSo I made an appointment just for a hello visit & never looked back! The team of nurses & vets are outstanding from the second you put a foot through the door, a very committed team that show real passion for their work & the animals they look after.
But for our family there is one person who stands out for us, the wonderfully kind, caring, compassionate Dr Aurelia Verdin, over the years she has cared for our fur baby’s with such kindness, understanding & outstanding care. My fur baby’s have always greeted her with a big smile & Wagging tail even when ill.
Dr Aurelia went above & beyond to support our family when one of our fur baby’s crossed the rainbow bridge & still continues to show support.
We can’t praise her enough! But to sum up how we feel “ we love you Dr Aurelia, you’re the best!!!

Caring, nurturing, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Our puppies actually love going to the Vet!! Both the vets and the vet nurses are always incredibly helpful and always do the best for our animals. Many thanks to the Team at North Warrandyte Vet Clinic. It has been a trying time for all during Covid, and you have made every effort to keep ourselves and our pets happy and healthy!

In a word: negligent
Had my 8 week old puppy complete a course of antibiotics for a UTI. Was requested to bring a urine sample in post completion of the course.
Did so, and expressed great concern for my dog as her symptoms had resumed and was becoming lethargic and had a loss of appetite.
6 hours after dropping off the sample received a call from a vet I’ve never spoken to stating her infection was continuing, but it simply must be an anatomical concern or defect.
Refused to review puppy, refused to prescribe any further antibiotics if not for symptom management and comfort, told me I needed to source an ultrasound for her myself “if I wanted to go down that route” told me to “consider her future”
Only willing to dispense “comfort medication”
Essentially suggesting my dog should be euthanised.
After a second opinion and a stint in vet ICU, turns out it is just veterinary negligence. She has no deformities.
Essentially her antibiotic course was not long enough or high enough dose for her weight. But that’s something that could be easily corrected with further antibiotics… or a review from a vet.
Complaint has been lodged with the vetboard and will be considering civil action against Dr Verdin.

I got my pup spayed here, and when I went to pick her up, she was sitting with the ladies behind the desk. It was so nice to see she wasn’t alone or scared.

I love the way they approach the situation and have a giggle with me . The team are continuing to support our fur babies after been there . I will only take them to this vet or there after hours care place .

I’ve been taking my dogs there for quite awhile and have always had excellent service. When it was time for my old dog their vet came out and was 100% compassionate and was an immense help. My current dog has had a few major operations and again they were fantastic, in both caring for her while she was there and later on during her recovery. Cannot recommend them highly enough
