    We recently moved to Williamstown and decided to switch to greencross, purely because of location. We’ve visited the Williamstown branch twice in the last fortnight.
    I think, having always been patients at smaller, privately owned vets, our expectation was not matched at greencross. The two front of house staff were not inviting, were not interested in our dog, and were much happier chatting amongst themselves. Both vets we saw were also disinterested, the dog didn’t get any pats or snacks, no “what a good boy”, which was standard treatment at 3 other vets we’ve been to historically. When I asked the vet about the dog’s ulcer, I was given a short “yep, it’s on the cornea” answer, with no further explanation of the condition.
    Basically, our issue is bedside manner and customer approach. At $115 for a 4 minute appointment, I’d expect more. In fact, I’d expect more out of a veterinarian regardless of price.
    After reading a post on a local facebook page about your clinic losing all staff not long ago, I understand what the issue is. It’s systemic, staff don’t really care because they don’t have skin in the game.
    Having worked in corporate healthcare myself, I understand the environment and why staff feel and act this way. I’m just disappointed.
    Clearly, we won’t be returning.

    My 10 yr old Border Collie was recently diagnosed with diabetes. Dr Wendy from Williamstown Green Cross vet was not only efficient with the care of my dog but also with explanations to me in understanding the ongoing care my dog would require, this was followed up by two phone calls to me after the consultation which was greatly appreciated.I highly recommend Dr Wendy and Green Cross Vets. Thank you

    Has been the family vet clinic for many years.

    Has dramatically gone downhill recently – service, care & building structure.

    I pay $40/month for the healthy pets plus programme and now can’t even get an appointment when needed.

    I will be cancelling my subscription and taking the health care of my dogs elsewhere.

    We had Andrew and he was honestly the best vet we’ve ever had. Sat down and let our dog greet him and get comfortable in his own time as we talked, and this made our dog SO much more comfortable, and was happy to be examined afterwards. This is very different from previous vets who sometimes go straight to showing a thermometer up poor doggo’s butt 😅 their membership deal of roughly $50 a month for unlimited checkups is a godsend!!! Strongly recommended.

    I was really happy with the service we received at this vet !! We recently had to take our dog Lucky and they were super accommodating with getting her seen. Andrew was super friendly, professional and gave us different options based on effectiveness and costs !! Looks like we have found our new local vet.

    Booked an appointment with Greencross then changed the appointment date by phone and was told everything had changed. Arrived on the amended date and told “point blank” that the appointment was impossible today. The staff attitude was unwavering, it was my pups second car trip and first outing with me. I was most annoyed and made my displeasure quite clear. I booked the new appointment date and left the premise. Had a call later from management to say my attitude and patronage was not welcomed and that my appointment had been cancelled. Poor customer service and poor administrative services by “ nurses” we have no receptionists here! Goodbye. Well goodbye.

    Booked appointment via online booking portal four weeks in advance. Arrived at vet to be told no vets worked that day. Was told I received a phone call. Went through my phone log with the receptionist, no phone call was received, showed the same. No apology. Would rebook if this business bothered to communicate but now will not be returning.

    Williamstown Greencross-this has been “our place” for over 15 years….how could the new management get it so wrong???!!
    This place should re-record their on-hold message! So much for being “dedicated” to the welfare of pets-an absolute joke! No wonder everyone has left in droves. They’ve literally & metaphorically gone to the dogs! If you care for your pet, go ANYWHERE ELSE!
    One star is compulsory-still too kind. Lots of lips service, quick to take your money, no so much for professional care & service!!

    We have been taking our dogs to Greencross in Williamstown for the past 20 years and have always loved the service and care, we were even signed up to their pets plus health care and recommended them to everyone. However over the past year or so it has gone downhill! Our dog has had a few problems and every time we need to get into see a vet they are not accommodating. The final straw was last week our dog had a burst abscess the could very easily lead to infection and the best they would do is book us in for three days later. There was no offer of an emergency appointment or a cancellation spot and no recommendations as to how to look after the wound for the next three days while we waited to get in. it seems that they have become more about the money and less about the animal care.

    I have been taking my pets to Greencross for over 10 yrs. previously l could not fault them.
    They were very caring and in the event of an emergency they were second to none.
    However over the past year we have had the total opposite.
    We have been turned away because they had no available times.
    This week my dog needed to be seen urgently. Not only could they not book her in they were exceptionally rude and offered no alternative advise.
    We eventually found a vet to see her.
    I have paid $40 a month for many yrs .
