Disappointed- I have been brining my dogs there for 10 years and have never had a problem. However I have not been able to get them in for 6 months now, everytime I call I am told in a 4 week wait period. Today I called and decided to just book them for 4 weeks and wait it out, when I asked if I could collect them by 3pm so I could get to work on time I was told that wouldn’t work and it would be a 6 week wait period instead. I’m unsure how 6 hours is not enough time to wash 2 dogs, I am only ever charged for about an hour grooming time each so that seems ridiculous.

I’ve never had these problems before and it honestly feels like this business doesn’t want to take big dogs anymore. They may have more clients now but having to wait 6 weeks is crazy, it seems like the business model should be looked at to adapt and continue to service loyal customers. I won’t be coming back.

EDIT: What a disgusting response from the owner below – just cements the fact I would never recommend this place and will be sure to tell everyone I know.

After three years of wonderful cuts I have now had two really bad cuts from here. First time I put it down to a one off but this time they have shaved him and he looks awful. They told me that he had knots under his elbows so they just shave his beautiful coat off instead of just cutting the knots under the elbows. We check daily for knots so know that this is not true. I will not be taking my three dogs back. Absolutely devastated. I don’t know if they have changed hands or have inexperienced staff but they need to lift their game

I have been going to K9 Chic in Cleveland for around 12 years with my toy poodle Charli. Over that time I have seen two owners and several price increases. My last experience is just not an acceptable way of treating long term customers who, on average, take their dog for grooming every 5-6 weeks. Charli was booked in for her groom but the salon rang and advised, due to them shutting up the shop for two weeks holiday, I would need to rebook. I wished them well and rebooked. This however meant that Charli’s groom would be longer than normal. Due to work commitments I was unable to keep my next appointment, strict drop in and pick up times apply, so I cancelled and rebooked for the next available. In the interim I bathed and groomed charli twice; I am not a groomer however that’s why I pay $85 for the service. Upon taking Charli into the salon (partner dropped her off as I was at work) I received a phone call. I was told that Charli hair was matted and that a $60 an hour fee would be applied to the $85 fee. I asked how long the dematting would take or a quote. The receptionist, who was very curt and rude, said she had no idea and that sometimes it can take hours; it wasn’t fair for the groomer to spend extra time on the dog at no additional $$. I was concerned for Charli well-being and asked if dematting was a good idea. The groomer advised against it and I agreed to a simple ‘buzz cut’ short hair all over. Upon picking the dog up (partner did this as I was still at work) I was charged $101.59. The buzz cut isn’t even a good one. I have placed two phone calls to speak to the owner Amber which have not been returned, she has been too busy with grooming students. I contacted both the shop and the owner on messenger and then on Facebook. My posts were deleted. I phoned again myself to the shop and met with the same rude receptionist who advised that the charge was correct due to the poodle points, face and feet that was done. I was not advised of this inflated price and have waited three days to find out. Not happy. Won’t be back. No way to treat what was a loyal customer.

Harper our dood has been going here since she was a pup, nearly 3 years. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Harper always looks fabulous when she leaves. Highly recommend.
