Prices are completely different to online, force you to sign up to “price match” themselves.
Couldn’t click and collect as no stock (they definitely had stock as I had it in my hand so signed up to get their “price match”
What a ridiculous system. I feel for the employees who have to work for a company like this as you know they are pulling shady stuff on them as well.

I go to a lot of the Petbarns around the area, and the FTG petbarn is by far the best. Immaculate store with items that some of the other stores dont even stock. Friendly & helpful staff. This one is quite far from me, but I will happily drive the distance to shop here.

I ordered a betta divided tank from online and it came smashed in the mail. That’s fine, I got that sorted out wonderfully through customer service, and I went to the ferntree gully store to pick up a new one. The lady checked it over for me and sent me on my way. Disappointingly, I got home and opened the box and there was a crack at the bottom of the middle compartment. This crack was admittedly hard to see so I don’t fault the lady for not seeing it.
However, my issue lies heavily when I called the store to explain what had happened. I am an experienced fish keeper and I am extremely careful with my tanks. The lady on the phone (who was the same lady who served me) implied that I must have broken the tank. I was pretty upset about that as I’m very careful with my tanks. Anyway, I went back and swapped it again. The lady who served me this time was pretty unfriendly and sent me off with a ‘be careful with it in the car this time’ comment.
Yeah, I won’t be shopping here again, and I’ve been a long time customer. The staff there made me feel terrible for something that wasn’t my fault.
