A nice park during the day. Would always come up here on summer afternoons to watch the storms come over.
I highly recommend you don’t come up here at night, and if you need to lock your doors and don’t get out. I think all the locals know why….

I walked down one of the lil bush tracks and found a VERY uncomfortable small clearing with lots of questionable items including an esky that said “DO NOT OPEN” on the top. Few more syringes than most places in Newcastle.

Braye park has panoramic views over the city to the ocean with a large turning bay if you are towing or in a motorhome with room to pull up to take in the view. Also a good place to wait if you are dropping someone to the mater hospital for treatment and have to hang around for pickup.
