Most amazing vet , have used this vet for years with both our dogs , sadly woke up Sunday morning with an unwell old family dog ella who had to be put to sleep , they were at the clinic within 15 mins to help us and gave us plenty of time to say goodbye and comforted us through the whole situation , checking the mail few days later an amazing card with a paw print we never thought of now framed and thankful for that gesture that means more than anything to us !! Picked up the ashes with a beautiful quote and candle to . Thankyou gv vets you have gone above and beyond for our family pet ❤️

A wonderful, caring vet who was so understanding when my poor, little 17-year-old furbaby had to be euthanised. After a bad experience at Shepparton Vets, I was traumatised and concerned about the visit. I was recommended GV Vets as the best in Shepparton and I’m so relieved I found them. It was the first time I’d been there and the staff were so caring and spent extra time with me when I was upset even though they were really busy. They gave me all the time I needed and were really kind to me and my baby and gave me plenty of time to say goodbye both, before and after. The card they sent with my furbaby’s paw print meant so much to me afterwards. Thank you for making this sad time a little easier.

Rang after hours due to a sick rat that needed urgent medical attention. I was informed the cost would be between $400 and $800 dollars? I advised the nurse on call that $800 was out of my reach as I was struggling financially due to morgage, bills and on a $63,000 call centre operator wage. The nurse on call sarcastically advised that I should take calls at 11:00 PM. I also aked as I was travelling from Bendigo to Shepparton could the cost be reduced? The nurse on call told me to try another clinic.
I could not believe the level of rudness and non-compassion provided by someone entrusted to deal with the public when they’re under so much stress with a sick pet.

GV VETS
We are a veterinary clinic based in Shepparton, providing an after-hours service to the surrounding region, however, Bendigo is over one and a half hours away and is well outside our usual service area. There are no less than 10 veterinary clinics closer to Bendigo than our clinic, yet we would have been happy to provide service if the call had not turned abusive.
Our on-call support staff provide an estimated cost range when discussing after-hours emergencies, as there is such a broad range of possible emergencies that can occur. The higher estimate includes items such as x-rays and blood tests, however, these are only charged if performed by the veterinarian after assessing each particular case.
We provide a payment option through a service called VetPay, where clients are having difficulty financially, but as a family-owned business we are unable to provide financial support to all those in need.
Sadly, on this call our staff member was abused by being sworn at over the phone and was then hung up on before all options could be discussed. We will not tolerate abuse in any form towards our staff. Our vets and nurses do not deserve this, when giving up their time with family after work or on weekends to provide an after-hours emergency service.

Best Vets in Shepparton. Couldn’t recommend them more. Knowledgeable, Kind, and supportive staff members. Warm and welcoming facility. If you are new to pet ownership they explain things and take the time to teach you how to care for your fur mates.

Best vets in the GV. First time today at the clinic and was highly impressed by the care not only did they give to my dog but also to me. From the moment I walked in the door the receptionist made us feel welcome. DR Tanika is amazing and very thorough with her explanation and diagnosis. Highly recommended 👌

Impressed with my first experience visiting this vet. Had a very sick cat and was told to bring her immediately. Found the staff to be caring and knowledgeable. Prices were also reasonable. My cat is now much better and I owe it all to them!

Make simple mistakes which cost there customers money.
Will still charge you even when they made the mistake.
They will NOT accept the truth but will believe their own made up stories.

My first experience of this vet clinic was when I had to get our 18yo cat put to sleep…the staff were absolutely wonderful, and so understanding and compassionate. I was very surprised when I lovely card and paw print of our family cat arrived a few weeks later in the mail. A lovely gesture which wasn?t expected. Not my usual vets but will be changing over to this clinic moving forward with my other animals.
