The best vet I have ever been to. They have handled all my pets needs with love and compassion. They truly care about your pets. I had my senior cat euthanised recently due to health issues and the way they handled it could not have been better. They made such a sad occasion that little bit easier with their respectful and caring nature.

West Blacktown has been very welcoming. Each staff member were very polite and compassionate towards animal. I had brought in a very sick strange cat (Milo), which me and my family started loving and maybe willing to keep him later on. Milo had cancer, so they had to put him down, they did not even think about money and did what they could for him. We all miss Milo and we love him so much, now we are looking forward to adopt a cat soon and we will surely bring him there. I highly recommend this place, very polite and professional.

Sadly and painfully our ‘most precious’ family pet of almost 16yrs passed away at home recently 💔💔
Helpful ReviewIn total shock and disbelief we somehow got ourselves to West Blacktown Veterinary Clinic.
They immediately took us in to a private room and allowed us as much time as we needed to grieve and say our final goodbyes 💔 The staff were very compassionate.
Yesterday, we received a card in the mail with a personalised message of condolences and was wonderfully surprised when prints of our dogs paws fell out.
We will cherish these forever 💙💙
Thank you to all the staff at the clinic for being so caring and understanding in our time of sadness.
Thanks especially for the card and the paw prints that fell out of it… it was a sad but beautiful ‘most precious’ gift 💙💔

I could not recommend this vet more. The staff are amazing and treat my little dog with the most respect and compassion. My dog has made a few trips to this vet already and each time the staff have been amazing, they explain everything so well and I know he is in the best hands possible. Their support during and after the trips has been great and I would absolutely go back to this place in a heartbeat!

I have been bringing my two dogs here since they were puppies and even for puppy school. My dogs loved being looked after by Dr Allen Dockett, he was understanding, honest, passionate about animals and the prices were very fair.
Unfortunately, once the clinic was sold to new owners this place has gone downhill for many reasons. I tried giving this new clinic chances and its upsetting that I will need to go elsewhere.
Appointments booked in are not scheduled on time and the prices are absolutely ridiculous. They are never discussed and additional hidden fees are always added onto your bill without your knowledge.
I wish the clinic would be upfront with costs before you go ahead to making payments. Receipts are not explained or given to you but instead you need to wait to be emailed which you do not receive until you keep calling and asking for it to be sent.
The previous ratings for the clinic is reflected upon the old owners not the present. I will now look for a new clinic because I can no longer afford it and I do not like how greedy and dishonest this clinic has become.
This place used to be all about the care of animals but now its just about earning as much profit as possible.

Took my rescue dog here for a routine check up and saw Vet Gina. She was an absolute dream and took so much time and care with my pup before even beginning the examination. Gina explained so much to me during the visit and also mentioned things to be mindful of as my dog is a staffy such as skin infections and other skin issues. My dog absolutely loves going to the vet and walks in like she owns the place after just one visit.

Please do not be fooled by these fake 5 Star reviews. There is nothing genuine about this vet ! They are not professional & lack customer service experience. They constantly add additional fees which are never on paper & expensive. They expect you to agree with any additional cost. They mistreat there animals, I am the last person to write a review however a place like this I hope my review encourages others to stay away from here. They will mistreat your animals with lack of experience and knowledge, prescribe medication which is not needed and they will always reschedule appointments just so they can make money on consultation fees when they can just prescribe the correct amount of medicine in the first place like other vets do !
They always seem to have excuses, my dog has come back from here with a cut, come back with expensive medication which did nothing ! When I went and saw a secondary vet for a second opinion they went straight to the point and fixed the same issue in 2 weeks worth of medication for something these clowns have been spending months on, they didn’t even diagnose the issue.
I have already reported this business & I hope action is taken. These new owners are clueless.

I wish I was writing this review on better terms but unfortunately I am not. On the 18th of Jan we turned up to the this vet clinic with our beautiful cane corso, who was not in a great state. He ended up having a ruptured heart tumor that we were not aware of and had to be put to sleep. I just wanted to say thank you to the staff for keeping Odie alive for us to say goodbye and seeing us in short notice. Thank you for being honest in the best approach for odie, even though it’s not what we wanted to hear. Thank you for letting us grieve in the clinic and thank you for sending us the beautiful card with his paw print that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

My beautiful baby Saoirse (miniature dachshund- 10 months old) recently required emergency surgery and the staff- VET and Nurses at West Blacktown Vet Clinic stayed back to ensure she received the care that she deserved. The manager was upfront and explained everything to us in a way we understood to ensure the best outcome for our puppy. I cannot say a bad word about any staff member at the clinic they are all polite, friendly and professional. They cared for my family member as if she was their own. I have even received follow up phone calls to check on Saoirse post operatively- so caring and I would recommend this clinic to anyone. Absolutely amazing !!!

The staff are great and always helpful. Unfortunately they have never done pay the gap on rspca pet insurance which is annoying and if I leave it up to them it can take three days before they lodge an insurance claim! But otherwise I wouldn’t and don’t trust my three dogs with anyone else! The puppy school was great also! I go anytime my dogs are sick they have treated eye infections and an ingrown hair. They also were amazing when I had to let our Shinzon cross the rainbow bridge.

I find the staff professional , reliable, positive, they listen to me, answer all my queries with no problems . Amy helped us to get 1 of my dogs off a long term medication with an operation that fixed the problem that i didnt even know could be done and no more medication to mask the problem.
They are always friendly and in emergencies are able to assist without issues. I was introduced to Amy with my friends dog that was with her, and switched over to this vet in Jan 21. Can highly recommend. Alex

I recently had my pooch pass away and called West Blacktown Veterinary Clinic to organise a cremation.

With change comes criticism (other reviews). We had been using our old vet Alan for 8+ plus years and he was an amazing and caring vet. We wondered what would happen when the new owners took over? We have been pleasantly surprised by Dr Amy and her caring team of vets and nurses. They have modernised the dated practice and we love, love the fast turnaround time for blood tests. Yes the prices have increased slightly but it what you expect with change. They have treated our five cats over the past twelve months and we have no hesitation in recommending this practice. We travel 30 minutes to use West Blacktown Vet Practice as there is nobody in our area that we would trust as much with our beloved pets. 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

I took my sick ferret Ludo and was impressed with Dr Amy. She treated my fur kid with a professional and kind manner. She wasnt fazed about Ludo wasnt scared or hesitant to handle him. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost of the visit. Reception was so friendly and helpful both on the phone and in person.

Been going here for the past 12 years, the previous vet Dr Allen Dockett was so warm inviting and cared so much about my dog, he was always honest, and was always concerned more of the health of my dog rather than the dollars.
The vet that works there now was more concerned about printing an invoice for future health checks rather than focusing what i had actually come in for.
I am so disappointed and upset the one true vet that we trusted fully for 12 years has just been turned into a money making business. I don’t think i will be coming back.
We will miss Dr Dockett he was the best 🙁 🙁

I have found Dr Amy and Jen the nurse to be warm, professional and experienced. In particular Dr Amy has in my opinion an outlook that is crucial when caring for sick animals; she is empathetic and a natural warm and loving nature to compliment her experience and skill as a Vet
Internet reviews are so important these days and I have come to immensely appreciate the time others take to either recommend or warn others regarding businesses and service!
Veterinary care is crucial and particularly veterinary specialists that understand that our pets are family members and must be treated with love care and respect!
My little girl Luna the Cavoodle is a sensitive and loving character and just confirms my positive instincts about the clinic! She loves coming to vet almost as much as she loves the park!

We have been long time visitors to West Blactown vet and have seen the amazing changes that have happened there during the last 12 months. The visual changes have lifted the place and freshened it amazingly. We have always loved Dr Alan and his team. But the new team, just brings all the extra love and care to us as doggy parents and to our little fur babies as well. I find it hard to find a vet I can trust as my dog is older now and suffers from numerous health concerns. I’m relieved to have found West Blacktown Vet Clinic as I can trust they look after my fur baby Atti as if she were their own; and the advice and service is really above and beyond what I’ve experienced elsewhere. Amy has been resourceful, compassionate and really successful in her care of Atti and in the results we have had even with chronic pain issues. I’ve found the prices to be beyond reasonable for the level of service and the follow up. Highly recommend this vet practice to anyone.

If I could give this vet 10 stars I would. So kind & compassionate – every single vet worker there including front desk staff/nurses. There not just in it for the money unlike some vets – they genuinely care about your pet I would recommend them to every pet owner in western Sydney. Yes there is only 1 vet on at a time, yes you may have to wait but it is always worth it, they are a small practise & I guarantee you will knowing they care about your animal.
