As a dog owner, you have rights and responsibilities both to your pet and to the community.
Always obey any signs regarding dogs and when and where you can allow them off their lead. Dogs that are taken off their lead must remain under control of a person at all times. At times you should carry a chain, cord or leash to restrain your dog, dog owners must remain within effective voice or hand control distance of the dog at all times. A person in charge of the dog must not allow the dog to chase or threaten another person or animal.
The most common dog complaint is about dog droppings or dog waste on footpaths and in parks. Please ensure that you remove and dispose of your dog’s waste in public places.
Always remember to be respectful in open spaces as they are used by dog lovers, sports lovers and nature lovers.

Reviewed on GoogleWent for a nice run along the shore and found this small park, it was quiet and a perfect place to run and observe the downtown Sydney skyline. There were numerous trails and large flat rocky areas with unobstructed views. Very little vehicular traffic made it very friendly to runners, hikers and cyclists.

Reviewed on GoogleExcellent city view, you can also see Harbour Bridge and Opera House at the same time. Really enjoyable. However, the track is wet and muddy after raining. Please be careful, super slippery.

Reviewed on GoogleThis is probably the closest nature reserve to the city centre, but you will still need a car because it’s not near a bus stop or ferry. It gets much busier on the weekend yet is very very quiet any other time. You can get amazing views of the city as well as Balmain, it’s very nice at sunset in this direction at the right time. You can walk from the coal loader tunnel leading on to the trails then loop all the way around. It’s one of my favourite places.
