At times you should carry a chain, cord or leash to restrain your dog, dog owners must remain within effective voice or hand control distance of the dog at all times. A person in charge of the dog must not allow the dog to chase or threaten another person or animal.
The most common dog complaint is about dog droppings or dog waste on footpaths and in parks. Please ensure that you remove and dispose of your dog’s waste in public places.
Always remember to be respectful in open spaces as they are used by dog lovers, sports lovers and nature lovers.

Like all parks in Perth, to enjoy Chichester Park it really is dependant upon fine weather. Yes, it does have a lot of nice native bushland with paperbark trees and black swans in the lake, but if it is a windy day or a Wintery day it is a bit…meh. My issue here is that Perth is the fourth windiest city on the planet. Here we are, it is mid-November and we’ve had a few nice days but for the most part November 2022 was mostly chilly and miserable in my opinion. It’s what we call a long Winter. I’m not a fan, so even though it is a lovely spacious park with a large lake, you still need pleasant weather to appreciate the amenities. The paradox is, it’s so late in the year that when the chill does eventually subside, the oppressive heat will be right upon us, giving us a heatwave. LOL!! We are fortunate however that there are so many nice parks in the suburbs. I lived for several years in a major Asian city and there were almost no parks at all, and one had to travel some distance to enjoy it. Here in Perth they are everywhere.

Go here once a week for a 10km run around the park. Not the best place for a run due to the slow inclines but it seems like a good place to walk your dogs.

Excellent disk golf course. Can be difficult playing when the ovals are being used for other sports just due to people being everywhere, guess it’s all about timing.
