Always obey any signs regarding dogs and when and where you can allow them off their lead. Dogs that are taken off their lead must remain under control of a person at all times. At times you should carry a chain, cord or leash to restrain your dog, dog owners must remain within effective voice or hand control distance of the dog at all times. A person in charge of the dog must not allow the dog to chase or threaten another person or animal.

Reviewed on GoogleAmazing place for BBQ and dip in the water. Has a basketball court as well. Big area for pets and kids ro eun around. Only few of the BBQ stations available and most of the area is not shaded.
We brought our own BBQ gear and a foldable table.
Free parking along the way but would be a long way to walk and winding road.
Paid parking on-site but very expensive. Cost $60 from 12pm – 6pm
Watch out for parking rangers too, have quite a few that are always lurking around booking cars.

10 bucks an hour for parking seemed a bit excessive but at least it made it easy to find a spot.

Reviewed on GoogleVery crowded in summer no parking by 9 am. Winter it is a bit easier to get parking . Wetsuits needed for swimming winter. Lots of skin diving schools there year round. Apparently great for diving. Lovely park for a stroll or picnic . Beautiful scenery.

Reviewed on GoogleClifton Gardens Reserve is a beautiful place that has a great pier, good swimming and all the picnic facilities.
It’s perfect for kids and the my kids love all the play facilities there that are massive. It’s also got a sand ground there which is great and there are heaps of things you can do there.
It’s also very safe as well, where you can see your kids from a distance and beach is quite pleasant. Great spot!
July 2021 update: Back there and love it!
January 2022 update: Back and brilliant!

Reviewed on GoogleOh my, the kids loved this place. The view is amazing, water was clean and was crowded I guess because it’s a popular location.
Heaps of boats come in and park while there is a big bath with net and jumping bridge for increasing the fun.
The place does need the council attention and some work to improve its safety as the stairs in the pool hard to climb up and rubber will help better, the stairs were broken, and need more stairs.
