Review Summary
Here's a summary of the most recent reviews on The Pet Community
Petbarn St Kilda has garnered a mix of feedback from its patrons, showcasing a broad spectrum of shopping experiences. Many customers laud the store for its wide range of products, the convenience of its location with off-street parking, and particularly the staff's friendliness and helpfulness. They're known for being animal lovers who provide great service and are knowledgeable, often going above and beyond to assist customers and their pets. Shoppers appreciate the price match policy, saving them money while still accessing a variety of items. Despite a few hiccups, such as a strict return policy and an unusual encounter involving a python at the entrance, the overall sentiment remains positive. The store's ability to offer everything under one roof, coupled with its excellent customer service and the joy of being greeted by staff who are genuinely kind and sincere, makes Petbarn St Kilda a go-to for many pet owners.

I have spent a lot of money at Petbarn St Kilda over the years, mostly because it is the only accessible pet supply store in my area and has off street parking. The prices are over the top (but hey, you pay for convenience, don’t you?) Today, when I returned an expensive unopened face mask still in its original packaging I was refused a refund because it was over the 30day time limit. The reason for the return? I decided it was not really an appropriate type of mask for my dog Romy. The guy in the shop suggested I put it on Marketplace. Really! The people working in the said Petbarn have always been helpful, polite and clearly love animals. My beef is with the company, not the staff. I have discovered you can buy the same stuff at Kmart heaps cheaper; I believe Bunnings also have a good range too.

Last Saturday, worst experience ever
Met by giant python at front door staff member /manager wouldn’t remove the snake, when asked by several customers
Was told it was an “inclusive store” didn’t realise snakes were paying customers.
Incidentally the snake had a better personify than the staff member/manager.
No reply from customer service centre after 6 days
Will never shop there again
