Incompetant doctors. Just looking to fleece you. I wouldnt go here again. They wanted to put my dog under general anesthesia (not to mention the cost and risk involved for something like that) for the 3rd time in a span of 12 months to get a skin sample off his eye lid for an allergic condition. I instead used an OTC medication for 1 week and he was absolutely fine and has been for a year now.

Helpful ReviewI do apologise that you feel you have had a negative experience at our clinic. Our aim here is to make each of our clients and their pets feel welcomed and comfortable. There is only one file I can seem to locate in out database with your name, but we did not see your pet recently for anything to do with his eyes; it was his feet, and there was no discussion of anaesthetics. I am a little confused. If you could please call and speak to our management team about this situation before giving us a bad review that would be very much appreciated. Very professional and friendly staff. Dr. David Rizkalla was very professional and thorough when treating my dog. Did an amazing job treating her teeth and explained every step of the process in a very in-depth but easy to understand way. Nursing staff were also very warm and friendly and helped both my dog and I feel comfortable.

Hi James. This is a very disappointing review as myself, and our staff did absolutely everything we could keep Hank safe and off the streets overnight. A member of the public handed him in, and as you know Hank’s microchip details was not up to date with your details. Legally, as we cannot confirm ownership through the council (as it was afterhours, and they were closed) we cannot hand him over to just anyone that has photos of a dog that looks similar. This would be very unethical of us. Our Veterinarian on duty stayed well past business hours to discuss the ‘next steps’ with you, as did we the next morning once the Lost Dog’s home and City of Port Phillip was contacted to ensure Hank was returned to you safely. If there are any other concerns, we appreciate the feedback being given to us directly and not over the internet. Jess – Senior Veterinary Nurse/Management.

We have been coming to St Kilda vet for over 6 years. The WHOLE team are just the best.
Dr Justin is one of my favourite humans ever – he is so genuine and gentle and caring with my dogs which means the absolute world to me. He helped me so so much when I first brought my pup in 6 years ago , and he took care of him (and me as new puppy parent !!) to become the best and heathy dog that he is. Justin is one of the most patient, caring , genuine vets I’ve ever ever met. He’s a dog whisperer, that’s for sure !!
Recently have had to have my boys dew claw remover after it got damaged and Dr David was fantastic despite the stress my dog put me under (he did not want anyone near his paws!!)
Jess is always so welcoming and knows my doggies well. She always has a smile and is so happy to see my Roy – and everyone else that comes in to the clinic too.
If you’re looking for a long term vet clinic that you can build a trusting relationship with – St Kilda Vet is your answer !!

I’ve visited the StKVC for about 4 years.
Helpful ReviewI suggest you ask how much the treatments will cost before you start. It is dearer than private GP and will take your breath away. No real explanation either and more standoffish behaviours when you question the cost.
$400 for 2 standard injections and 2 worm tablets with a bag of cat food.
The staff on the phone are nearly always vague, standoffish and do the minimum.
Tring really hard to find a replacement for an out of stock food that particularly suit my cat, turns out they have 3 but no-one thought to suggest this until I went in and pushed fairly hard with questions.
Tired of them and won’t be back.
