Ive always like petsmart, i am a bit disappointed that the pet stores no longer will carry over the counter pet pain relievers (equivalent to aspirin or ibuprofen) for pain /discomfort and anti-inflammatory properties and i was told its all because the veterinarians office said that due to people being able to purchase them on their own they were loosing money. Which makes it very difficult to help your pet with day to day issues. I wish petsmart would put the needs of animals before anything else. But I dont definitively know if that is their actual reason. I checked all locations and each time the shelves of pet meds & supplements were pretty empty… They dont really even seem to carry many supplements or vitamins that i could tell. Few bottles of a couple random things and thats about it. Petco was the same but almost no selection at all. I had been getting all those types of medicines/supplements at petsmart for almost 30 years..
Helpful ReviewBut otherwise I still like Petsmart. Their pet toys are better quality than a lot. However that does make them triple the price, I don’t think all of them need to be as expensive as they are so I rarely buy many because my dogs will shred them in minutes so I’m not going to spend $25+ on a single toy to be ruined. they do have a large selection of pet foods. And of course Love that you can bring your pet in with you to shop and that they have a lot to do with adoptions.

Salon staff is a hit or miss. Stephanie F is our all time favorite. We also use Jessica W. Both do an over the top job. I’ve never been disappointed in the slightest with those girls. Stephanie is all around so pleasant to deal with, we look forward to seeing her each time! (I don’t get the chance to talk to Jessica much but I’m sure she’s nice too) The last two visits we weren’t able to get both in with our preferred groomers so we booked with Cat A. The only face to face interaction I had with her put a sour taste in my mouth as she talked to me like I had no idea how to care for my dogs coats. Now I will admit, they do have tangles nearly every time on their ears but not matted so bad that someone needed to scold me about it. Our one dog is impossible to keep tangle free. She’s a menace. Maybe she’s not experienced with poodles. Who knows. But the second time with her she sent my dogs home with the most awful haircuts they’ve ever had. I called and asked very kindly if we could just fix their feet and face. That’s all I cared about. Took them back and the faces were not fixed (both have multiple very long patches on their faces) and their feet are not clean cut. Even after taking them back a second time, I didn’t notice a difference. So I’m not sure what she did for 45 minutes. We tip 30% for each dog at the minimum. So I genuinely don’t know if she dislikes grooming them or is just so new that she’s learning the basics still. I will stick with our preferred groomers and I will tip them even more than 30% to show our appreciation to their commitment to producing excellence work. I’ve also been to boutique groomers in the past but I still prefer Steph and and Jessica! Tip them well too! They deserve it!!!

Always have to ASK FOR HELP!! Noone ever offers….even when I clearly came in to the fish dept with a water sample. Finally found someone and she was really nice…but I had to go looking. Too few of staff. Went back today with water sample…and had a 5 star experience. Katarina was awesome..informative and upsold me an item I never knew about. Great job all around today.

Love this place! I adopted a dog a couple of weeks ago. I desperately need a playpen or kennel for him but waited until the very last minute to finally get it. I skated in there under 5 minutes before they closed. I used to work retail, and we always hated it when people did that. This day, however, I got very lucky because Mitchie, the manager on that night, was freakin’ AWESOME! As were her staff. Everyone was so helpful. They helped me pick it out and even let me run out and grab my wallet, which I had forgotten in the car. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for pet supplies, information, or even just for helpful smiling faces! Thanks, Mitchie!!!
